Deltapath, Hong Kong based Global UC solution provider, entered the Japanese market in earnest with focusing on vertical solution and collaboration solution with Skype for Business.
Deltapath established its Japan office in July 2015 and Tomomi Okuda joined as a country manager. Deltapath frSIP, SIP server as the core product of Deltapath, provides features of voice mail, voice/video conference with smart devices in addition to IP-PBX. However, since Deltapath Japan is a new company just launched in the market, it will focus more on “Connected solution” based on frSIP such as collaboration with nurse-call system, connection with legacy video conference system or providing gateway product to connect with mobile solution.

One the success in Japan is the customer story at Fukui University Hospital. Fukui University Hospital adopted new nurse call system that is based on connected solution with frSIP and CARECOM nurse call system. Though the system, nurse receive any call from patient with smartphone and can gain medical record at the same time. After the new system is deployed, nurse’s workload is reduced significantly and communication sharing between nurses and doctors is also improved.
Deltapath also offers Deltapath VMC (Video Mobility Controller). VMC is appliance product that is able to connect between Polycom video endpoint/MCU and smartphone/Tablet to join video conference. The VMC features firewall, session boarder control, and provides security with one-time password. Deltapath Japan is seeking business opportunity with working with Polycom partners to extend in the market.
As the latest solution, Deltapath Japan plans to launch Deltapath Skype for Business Gateway. As key features, 1, Connection capability with Skye for business and legacy video endpoint and WebRTC client. 2, To add Enterprise voice feature (IP-PBX) on Skype for Business. The enterprise voice feature makes it possible for Skype for Business Online users to utilize IP-PBX feature.
