Microsoft’s Lync, and by extension Skype for Business, have proven to be a valuable part of many offices’ lineups. That value in turn has posed several opportunities for other developments in the field, and that’s meant plenty of news for us to consider. So with the weekend on hand, it’s a great time to take a look at what was truly big and special about this week. Get comfortable, because it’s time for our Week in Review coverage!
Deltapath, who released its new Deltapath frSIP Skype for Business Gateway. The system is designed to make Deltapath solutions available for all Skype for Business users, allowing same access to video communications in an open session initiation protocol (SIP) environment. Essentially, it allows for easy “any to any” connection methods, and gives not only open SIP but also legacy H.323 video conferencing endpoints, mobile devices, and several other tools access to a wider set of communications tools.
