The Role We Are Holding For You

You’ll be the translator of Deltapath’s product—explaining what we do in ways that resonate with different audiences across every format. You’re not a generalist writer; you’re a Product Writer. That means you combine exceptional writing craft with deep product understanding. You explain our product simply and attractively through web pages, marketing brochures, press releases, TED-talk-style presentations, user manuals, web pages, blog posts, datasheets, and more. Our design team handles layout and production; you create the words and messaging that make our product compelling and understandable.

Product Positioning & Web Content

  • Write web copy and content that explains our product’s value, features, and benefits in simple, compelling language
  • Translate technical product concepts into clear, audience-appropriate prose for different buyer personas
  • Create messaging frameworks and positioning statements that guide all product communications
  • Develop web pages, landing pages, and digital content that engage and convert different audience segments
  • Work closely with product management to understand features and translate them into customer benefits
  • Ensure all web and digital content maintains Deltapath’s brand voice and product positioning

Marketing Collateral & Positioning

  • Create compelling copy for marketing collateral: brochures, datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, product guides
  • Develop presentation messaging and talking points for product launches and customer presentations
  • Brief design and creative teams on messaging intent, target audience, tone, and strategic positioning
  • Write sales enablement materials that help the sales team explain product value clearly
  • Ensure all collateral copy maintains alignment with Deltapath’s brand voice and positioning strategy

Press Releases & Corporate Communications

  • Write press releases announcing product launches, features, partnerships, and company news
  • Craft media pitches and messaging for media outreach
  • Develop corporate communications that represent Deltapath professionally and strategically
  • Write thought leadership pieces and executive communications

Thought Leadership & Presentations

  • Develop compelling, presentation-ready content: TED-talk-style scripts, speaking notes, keynote content
  • Create thought leadership articles and content that position Deltapath as an industry authority
  • Write narrative-driven content that tells Deltapath’s story and value proposition
  • Develop content for industry speaking engagements and events

Technical Documentation & User Manuals

  • Write and update user manuals, guides, and help documentation as our products evolve
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, accessible language for end users
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand features and communicate them clearly
  • Create quick-start guides, tutorials, FAQs, and knowledge base articles
  • Ensure documentation remains accurate, current, and user-friendly throughout the product lifecycle
  • Develop release notes and product update communications

SEO-Optimized Blog Content

  • Research and develop blog posts and articles that drive organic traffic and demonstrate thought leadership
  • Conduct keyword research aligned with product value propositions and audience search intent
  • Write SEO-optimized content that maintains readability and product positioning
  • Optimize content for search engines while ensuring authenticity and Deltapath’s brand voice

Brand Voice & Editorial Excellence

  • Develop and maintain Deltapath’s distinctive brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines
  • Serve as the primary editorial authority on all Deltapath-facing written communications
  • Maintain exceptionally high editorial standards across all content
  • Create comprehensive brand voice documentation to ensure consistency
  • Proofread and edit content with meticulous attention to detail

External Agency Management

  • Serve as the editorial partner for Deltapath’s external SEO and content agencies
  • Review, edit, and approve all agency-produced content before publication
  • Provide feedback to ensure agency work aligns with Deltapath’s voice, product positioning, and quality standards
  • Ensure external partners understand our product and positioning as clearly as you do

What We’re Looking ForEssential Experience & Skills

Writing Excellence Across Formats

  • 2–3 years professional writing experience in B2B SaaS, technology, or software companies
  • Demonstrated portfolio of published writing samples across at least 4 different formats (web copy, marketing collateral, technical documentation, blog posts, press releases, whitepapers, or similar)
  • Exceptional command of English: grammar, syntax, clarity, style, and tone
  • Ability to write with authenticity and personality while maintaining professionalism
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Portfolio must show ability to explain complex/technical concepts simply and attractively

Product Understanding & Communication

  • Proven ability to learn technical products quickly and translate them for different audiences
  • Experience writing copy that positions product value and benefits (not just features)
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to adapt messaging for different buyer personas
  • Experience collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing teams
  • Comfortable asking “why” and “so what” to understand product context and positioning

SEO & Digital Content Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of SEO principles and ability to optimize content for search engines
  • Experience conducting keyword research and applying on-page optimization techniques
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics) and ability to understand content performance
  • Knowledge of content management systems and publishing platforms
  • Understanding of web content best practices and user experience

Technical Competencies

  • Working knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and publishing platforms such as WordPress
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with presentation tools (PowerPoint) for developing messaging

Collaboration & Communication

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities; can work effectively with cross-functional teams especially engineers.
  • Experience managing external partners or agencies and providing constructive feedback
  • Project management skills; capable of managing multiple concurrent writing projects
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Self-directed learner who stays current with industry trends and best practices

Nice to Have

  • Experience in telecommunications, VoIP, unified communications, or related technology sectors
  • Track record of driving organic traffic growth through content optimization
  • Certification in content marketing, technical writing, or related fields
  • Background in product marketing or product management communications
  • Experience developing messaging for product launches and go-to-market strategies
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven content optimization
  • Experience with version control systems
  • Comfortable presenting or speaking publicly about products/ideas
